When using for the first time, let the candle burn for at least an hour, to melt the wax to the rim of the container, and avoid tunneling.
Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4" for longer candle life and cleaner burning.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Moreover, a candle should not be lit for more than four hours at a time.
Stop burning when the wax is 1/4" from the bottom of the container to avoid dangerous combustion conditions.
Make it last
Once your candle has burned down, it’s easy to clean and reuse — as a mini planter, catch-all dish, or decorative piece. Here's how to clean it safely:
🔥 Cleaning Steps:
Melt leftover wax with hot water: Pour very warm (not boiling) water into the container and let it sit for a few minutes. The melted wax will rise to the surface. Once cooled, it will form a solid layer you can lift out easily.
Remove the wick base: Use a wooden spoon or spatula to gently detach the metal wick tab from the bottom.
Wash the inside: Clean with a soft sponge and mild soap. Rinse with warm water.
Dry thoroughly: Wipe with a dry cloth, then let air-dry completely before reuse.
🛑 Please avoid:
Dishwasher cleaning
Soaking the container in water for long periods
Using abrasive tools or harsh chemicals
Each container is hand-poured in Quebec using a blend of cement and fine sand, chosen for its strength, raw style, and unique matte finish.
Thanks to this artisanal process, each piece has slight variations — tiny bubbles, color shifts, and textures — that make it truly one of a kind. That’s what we love about it.
